The PDLV Goal System™ is designed to last for quite a few seasons. Taking the following precautions will help ensure the longest life for your goal:

• Never allow anyone to grab onto or hang from any part of the goal.

• When moving the goal, always lift it off the ground completely. Do not drag the goal on the ground.

• When the goal will not be used for long periods of time, especially during the winter months, place the goal in an area protected from the elements. This can be accomplished by removing the net and four locking pins from the ends of the upper and lower cross-members. You can then remove the cross-members and lay them flat on your garage or basement floor. You can either store the sides by hanging them on a wall, laying them on a floor, or resting them on the floor against a wall. Try to avoid leaving them to rest on a corner or leaning them too far from the wall as this may cause them to warp over time.

These are additional precautions to those above specifically for the glowing goal:

• When storing this goal, you may not be able to remove the cross-members. If this is the case, the goal should be moved to an area such as a patio or behind the garage and protected with a tarp. Be sure to secure the tarp to the goal or the ground.

• Because this goal uses electricity to run the lights inside of the goal, make sure to route any power cords well away from the area of play.

• Do not plug in the goal should there be any moisture on the ground. You should use electrical tape to wrap the plug connection whenever you intend to light the goal up.
